One of the world’s oldest diseases, leprosy is still reeking havoc in subtropical climes. Macksey's black and white study goes inward rather than outward, revealing the disease through the trials of one man. The horrors we associate with leprosy are all here–and are perhaps overplayed. Do we really need so many shots of the man's mitten hands?
